I have been a country girl all my life, I have camped out in horse stalls, open fields, the woods and everywhere in between. So when I first started researching for new innovative ideas for the site I started seeing all these fancy tents and gadgets for glamping. What ever happened to pitching a tent and hoping it makes it through the night, gathering firewood for cooking on the fire? Apparently, this is only for us die-hard campers. Now we have luxury tents that look like you need an engineering degree just to put them up, solar tents, tents that connect to one another, tents with wifi and every other type tent imaginable. Don’t get me wrong I wish the night that my friend and I got drenched from a tent that was dry rotted and split in two during a severe thunderstorm that we had the Lotus Belle tent or the Camp Champ.
I prefer the old fashioned way but, maybe with all the products that are made to feel like we never left our home will entice more not so down to earth people, to get out and enjoy the beautiful outdoors even if what they are doing is glamping not camping.
